When Life Takes It out of You, Let Massage Put It Back In
 Why Massage Therapy

How we use our bodies has a direct impact on our posture, our nervous, circulatory, digestive and other systems.  We use and abuse our bodies on a daily basis, forcing ourselves into positions of which our daily lifestyles call upon us to do.  Unfortunately our muscles and joints end up complaining, leaving us feeling achy, sore and overwhelmed with fatigue, we wish our bodies could allow us to do so much more.

When we hurt, we instinctively stop using the sore area to avoid the pain and continue pushing ourselves, thinking it will get better.   By guarding we tighten up other areas to avoid causing any more pain to the sore area. This becomes a vicious cycle, affecting our mood, sleep, everyday life.

Massage Therapy works the body's soft tissues to reduce tension and alleviate restrictions and increase fluid circulation within the body, by lengthening and relaxing contracted muscle fibers with pressure and movement, fresh oxygenated blood is brought into the muscles flushing them of chemical waste products produced during muscle use (lactic acid).  The new fresh blood & lymph flow help to alleviate soreness and is good for the skin as well.  A Massage Therapist is able to teach a client to experience the benefits of becoming more relaxed, balanced and able to manage our pain.

All Massage Techniques are Therapeutic to those who want faster healing and an overall feeling of health and wellness with a familiarity of what their bodies are telling them.

Swedish Massage is for those in need of relaxation and mind-body connection and self-healing.
